Tips for Getting the Best Foot Scan
Capture Every Angle
Ensure you scan all key areas: the sides (medial and lateral), the sole, toes, and especially the heel.
Move at a Steady Pace
Slowly move around the foot, making sure the white pixels gradually cover the entire surface. Keep a steady pace to capture a thorough scan.
Avoid Missing Areas
Make sure there are no gaps or missing parts in your scan to achieve a full and accurate digital model.
Make Adjustments as Necessary
If the scan becomes unstable or jumpy, you might be too close, too far, or moving too fast. Adjust your distance and speed for smoother scanning.
Proper Device Positioning
Hold your iPhone or iPad Pro with the front camera pointing toward the ground.
Practice for Better Results
Take time to practice scanning to enhance your results. If you need additional support, our team is here to assist! Schedule a meeting with us in the link below.
Start Scanning from the Inside
Begin the scan from the inside (medial) of the foot, keeping the device about 12 inches away.
Use of Scanning Mirror
While optional, we highly recommend using a scanning mirror. It helps simplify the scanning process by allowing smoother movement around the foot.
