My name is John W. Walker. I am a retired technology entrepreneur turned property developer residing in Salt Lake City, Ut. I have incubated 5 successful tech start-ups. I have raised 10’s of millions of dollars to fund great ideas and built world class teams who have worked to execute and deliver world altering technology. I participated in my first IPO by the age of 40 in 2011. My health up to that point took a back-seat and decided far too late in life to take my health and more specifically my foot health seriously…  I now suffer from a series of chronic health conditions related to my feet. One could say I was born destined for such issues as I stand as an adult at 6’10” tall and weigh in at 350 lbs with a family health history of type II diabetes. I have total neuropathy below both ankles. I was diagnosed with Charcot on my left foot which was reconstructed in 2011 and have since had three metatarsal heads on my right foot removed and one bone fusion behind my big toe. 

As I have discovered, I am not alone in trying to maintain an active lifestyle and quality of life with my present conditions which are irreversible. In the past ten years, I have tried many orthopedic options ranging from very expensive custom made footwear to custom insoles to crow’s boots, etc….  

Last fall, in course of research for a related tech development for footwear, I had the good fortune to meet the team at 3D-Fit at the AOPA conference in Indianapolis. I believe the team have come up with a quality of life game changer and even a life saver for anyone like me who faces similar health issues. I used the app provided to scan my feet and sent off to the team. 

In only a few short weeks, the team at 3D Fit were able to build exact matched 3D printed models of my feet and built me the most comfortable footwear I have worn in my adult life. Of greatest importance, chronic pressure issues I have experienced for many years are subsiding as the footwear is truly adaptive to MY unique specification for the first time. I have now had the sneakers they provided for going on three months. 

I wear them everyday to the office and various construction sites. Simply put, they have changed my life and give me so much hope for a brighter future where my feet do not continue to suffer. The shoes are super light weight and very durable (coming from someone NOT “light on their feet” or who is easy on their footwear). After three months of abuse and daily wear, I have zero delamination, workmanship or quality issues, or uneven wear to the soles of the shoes.  The insoles with their 3-D printed match to my feet have been perfect and provide support I have not enjoyed in any other custom footwear I have ordered. I have literally spent 10’s of thousands of dollars over the last decade and a half trying to maintain an active lifestyle with only limited success. Until now it appears…..     I cannot recommend enough to anyone, especially those with unique challenges and needs from their footwear. These are a truly accommodative product that look great and even stylish. These shoes are a bargain!!. Can’t thank the team enough and look forward making 3D-Fit my goto for footwear henceforth…
